blend and fold for 1 min.
or until everything is mixed in
sprinkle cocoa powder and cinnamon
&/or crushed espresso beans
in glass, and pour in.
Jack's Coffee.
Load to grinder

One shot each of:

Serve cold in a frosted goblet with a sliver of dry ice.
MEAD: Drink of the Gods
Bob the Bear's Basement Mead
-
Approx 2 cups hops flowers
-
1/3 cup cinnamon sticks broken
-
1/3 cup damiana
-
1/3 cup catnip
-
2/3 cups crushed whole cloves
-
1 pound brown sugar
-
1/4 cup each:
-
sage leaf
-
valerian
-
lemon balm
-
star anise
-
6 pounds honey
Heat all in a 2-3 gallon stew pot, (don't Boil)
When hot and well mixed Put into carbouy with
airlock and keep in warm place for 6 weeks
Or when the fermentation is done
the other version

6 pounds honey

1/2 cups cinnamon sticks broken

crushed nutmegs

star anise

cloves
As before heat to simmer again-DO NOT BOIL.
After heat is off, add 3 tablespoons malt powder
mix in
Put in carbouy w/ airlock and store for 6 weeks
Magewine for Masses
3 lb. honey per gallon of hot spring water
Add 1 campden tablet per 2 1/2 gallon and let
sit overnight.
Mix one packet Pasture yeast with yeastfood and
add after 24 hours
Wait 6 weeks (PRIMARY FERMENTATION)then rack
4 gallons of mead into clean 5 gallon carbouys. (dump dead yeasties) Then
make one gallon of tea for each 4 gallons mead.(to equal the 5 gallons).

1/2 cup Fresh Orange Peel chopped
Squeeze all the tea from the mash and add to carboys
(SECONDARY FERMENTATION) wait for 4-6 weeks bottle and keep chilled
Magewine for Madmen
Follow the same instructions for Magewine, However
in this brew, the tea mixture is different.

Brian's Mead Recipe
Mix 3 lb. honey with enough water to make a gallon.
(If you heated the honey to mix easier, let it
cool before going on...)
Add one pinch Fleischmanns Bread Yeast.
Cap loosely and let it sit at room temp for several
months.

Distilled water: 78 fl. oz.
Dissolve oils and ether in alcohol, sugar in
water. Then mix in the color green and filter clear.
British 1890's

Dissolve oils in alcohol and water. Color green and
filter to clear.
The 1855 Way
To make 1 Liter:

25.0g wormwood
-
50.0g anise
-
50.0g fennel
Muddle together
Soak in 950ml of 190 proof grain alcohol for
12 hours,
add 450ml water
Distill to 950ml distillate,
remove 40ml distillate and add:

10.0g wormwood
-
10.0g hyssop
-
5.0g lemon balm
Extract these at moderate temp.
Siphon off liquor, strain and filter.
Add remaining 550 ml distillate dilute with water
to 11.
1931`Mari Gras Style

1 pint vodka
-
2 tsp. crumbled wormwood
-
2 tsp. anise seed
-
1/2 tsp. fennel seed
-
4 cardamom pods
-
1 tsp. marjoram
-
1/2 tsp. ground coriander
-
2 tsp. chopped angelica root
-
1 2/3 cups sugar syrup
pour vodka in large jar w/ tight lid. Add wormwood
and shake steep 48 hours and strain. crush seeds and pods in mortar. Add
all to vodka and place in warmth for 1 week. add sugar syrup to taste.
1922 NYC

steep wormwood in vodka for 48 hours, strain and
add other spices. steep for 8 days. strain and sweeten.
